This form is a space for classically-trained performers to anonymously share thoughts, complaints, wishes, stories, disappointments, observations, and truthbombs of all sorts about what it means to be a classically-trained performer in the 21st century. Your thoughts might end up in future seasons!
Here are a few prompts (which you don’t have to follow):
- How would you articulate the value of the performing arts? (Bonus points if you can avoid addressing it to someone who is already sold on the importance of the arts and instead make a convincing argument to one of those pragmatic sceptics…)
- For singer who have been out of school for a while: What skills did you not expect to have to learn when you were training as a performer?
- If you’re still in school: How do you imagine your career unfolding once you finish your education and are ready to start a career? Are there any particular fears you have about that transition?
